“You have to be alone,” they said.
“Get to know yourself,” they said.
“You should get out there and date new people,” they said.
“You don’t meet anyone staying home,” they said.
Exhausting!
You can’t snap your fingers and whip up love. But you can be a loving person without someone to love.

The message is simple
Love yourself first
Does it make sense? Of course it does. But remember, for love to grow, it needs interactions, empathy, and vulnerability. Love is a state of being, it’s not an action and, at least in my experience, it is best practiced in relationships with others. That’s when you get to really know what you love about yourself and what you don’t. In the reflection of another!
Love is something you become, I’ll say it again, it’s not an action.
“To reject love for fear of suffering is like rejecting life for fear of dying.”
—Jim Morrison
